It was only a few weeks ago that I had participated in Zofia’s “quasi” surprise baby shower (party) and once again was charmed not just by their presence but also the company of their friends. It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon when Zofia finally arrived with a crib on the front step and their friends waiting there to greet her. She was overjoyed. Conky and Claudia were there, people I’d never met but whom became instant friends were there, and most importantly, Zofia and Hannes were both enjoying the celebration. Since the discovery, “Peanut” was the name given to the image in the sonogram because... well, it looked like a peanut! And so peanuts were the theme- from a big bowl of peanuts to a delicious peanut-shaped cake baked by none other than housemate and very special friend Melissa Miller, Peanut was on everyone’s mind, in their hearts and still in Zofia’s belly! It wasn’t until the 7th of April that Sasha decided that his birthday was going to be very soon.

And as if pronouncing Hannes and Zofia as husband and wife weren’t enough, I have the absolute pleasure and honor of publishing this blog on the Thatch Meadow Farm website, introducing to the world, the most beautiful product of two of the most beautiful people in the world. World, may I introduce to you, Sasha!
